Tufts University is pleased to announce enhancements to the Tufts Emergency Alert System. Following a thorough review of available technology, the university has contracted with Rave Mobile Safety to provide Rave Alert as the software that powers the Tufts Emergency Alert System beginning today. The university may use the alert system in the event of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of the Tufts community.
What you need to know:
- If you had contact information in the previous system it has been transferred to Rave Alert.
- Visit emergency.tufts.edu/alertupdate to review and update your contact details.
- Starting today, text alerts will come from 67283 and 226787, email alerts will come from TuftsAlert@tufts.edu, and voice messages will come from telephone caller ID 617-627-4636 (INFO).
Rave Alert will give the university the continued ability to quickly send text, voice, and email messages and will also make it easier for you to maintain your emergency contact information; however, you must provide your contact information to be included in the system. Visit emergency.tufts.edu/alert for more information and the complete policy.
This enhancement is the result of a continuing collaboration among Tufts Technology Services, University Relations, and the Office of Emergency Management, with assistance from Purchasing.
