Update on Emergency Alert on Medford/Somerville Campus

Earlier this morning Tufts University Police Department and Somerville Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing inside 98 Professors Row, the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house. Police discovered two victims of apparent stab wounds, who were transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The victims are not affiliated with Tufts University.
Police investigators are speaking with witnesses to try to obtain information about the suspect or suspects. At this time the crime appears to be non-random. Police have completed a search of the campus and the immediate vicinity and are advising that members of the Tufts community may return to their normal activities on the Medford/Somerville campus. There will continue to be an enhanced police presence on campus during the initial investigation.
